Porcelynne Lingerie
Porcelynne Lingerie was developed by designer Jennifer Lynne in 2002 as an escape from uncomfortable underwear. Porcelynne Lingerie is focused on fit. With the combination of colors and fabrics, every piece is special.
Porcelynne's newest collection is made from the finiest micro-bamboo/spandex blend. Lynne chose bamboo as her fabric for 2 main reasons. The most important being the fibers of bamboo are naturally antibacterial and are biodegradable. The second reason is to help integrate her customers into sustainable living. Bamboo grows without pesticides and grows fast so our natural resources aren't wasted.
Porcelynne's philosophy in business is as important as fabric choices. For the past 5 years, all fabrics used have been rescued from factory overflow and have avoided ending up in a landfill. Porcelynne recycles all items from the studio and showroom floor. Fabric scraps are donated for re-use and all other material are recycled though Oakland's Business Recycling Program.
Porcelynne uses limited resources in packaging and shipping. Items are not shipped in plastic wrap, so there is no contribution to the environmental impact of plastic waste.
Porcelynne also employs contractors who are local to help maintain a balanced local economy and to recirculate the cash flow to those who are our neighbors.
